Margaret Jerolyn “Jeri” Johnson

April 25, 1930  –  July 24, 2023

Margaret Jerolyn “Jeri” Johnson, age 93, of Knoxville, formerly of Jackson, MS went home to be with the Lord Monday, July 24, 2023.

She was born to Edward and Dulis Lyle Evans in Lena, Mississippi. She was a devoted Christian who loved her Lord, her family and friends, her church, and her church family. She was a member of Hardin Valley Baptist Church and former member of Hillcrest Independent Methodist Church in Forest, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed spending time with her family. Jeri enjoyed a professional career with Vocational Rehabilitation in Jackson, Mississippi.

Jeri is preceded in death by her dear husband, R. B. Johnson; son in-law, Joe Tatone; sister, Lodena Harvey Jackson; brothers, Frank Evans, and Horace Evans; sister in-law Sallie Evans; and special cousin, Magdalene Johnson.

She is survived by daughters, Margie Tatone and Joy (Wade) Tipton; grandson, Philip (Megan) Tipton; great grandchildren, Addison and Nolan Tipton; sister in-law, Ruby Doris Evans; several special nieces and nephews.
