Colossians 3:16-17

These verses simply state the Word of God is to “be at home in our hearts.”

Identification

Authority

We forgive because Christ forgave us (Col. 3:13).

It is the peace of Christ that should rule in our hearts (Col. 3:15).

The Word of Christ should dwell in us richly (Col. 3:16).

The name of Christ should be our identification and our authority. “Christ is all, and in all” (Col. 3:11).

How Do I know if the Word of God is at home in my heart?

1. Your Life will be controlled by the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit fills the life controlled by His Word.

Ephesians 5:18-19

2. Your heart and voice are eager to sing about the Savior.

3. You exhibit submission willingly because you are under the Lordship of Christ.

4. You have a heart of gratitude – you delight in saying “Thanks.
