Why Walk Thru the Bible in 52 Weeks?

The idea of surveying the entire Bible in a year is rooted in the importance of thoroughly understanding Scripture, deepening one’s faith, and maintaining a sound doctrinal foundation. Here’s why such a practice is considered vital in this context:

1. Holistic Understanding of Scripture

Surveying the entire Bible ensures that no part of God’s Word is neglected. A year-long survey of the Scriptures encourage believers to see the Bible as a whole, rather than focusing on isolated verses or favorite passages. This comprehensive approach promotes a better understanding of the Bible’s overarching themes, such as creation, redemption, covenant, and the kingdom of God.

2. Doctrinal Clarity

Holding to Biblical authority is essential. A thorough survey of the Bible over the course of a year provides an opportunity for doctrinal clarity and reinforces key theological themes. This includes understanding the nature of God, the work of Christ, salvation by grace through faith, and the life of the church.

3. Strengthening Faith and Personal Growth

Reading the Bible regularly can foster spiritual maturity and personal growth. As you engage with all of Scripture, you are more likely to encounter verses and passages that challenge their faith and prompt self-reflection. The process of reading through the entire Bible encourages not just intellectual knowledge, but personal transformation, as the Word of God is active and effective in the lives of believers (Hebrews 4:12).

Join us on Wednesday nights at 7 PM as we survey the Scripture this year!

The Fitting End of False Religion – The Return of the King | Revelation 17 | Rodney Holloman | ► Notes: https://churchlinkfeeds.blob.core.windows.net/notes/39183/note-226466.html

Genesis 1:26-27

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
