Palm Sunday
This weekend we celebrate Palm Sunday—the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, and the crowd welcomed Him like a king. They waved palm branches and shouted, “Hosanna!” It was a joyful moment, but also marked the beginning of His journey to the cross. Even though the week ahead will be full of challenges and sacrifice, today reminds us that Jesus is our victorious King, full of love and purpose. His arrival brought hope then, and it still does now!
Let’s remember what the people shouted that day: “Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest” (Matthew 21:9, KJV). And let’s hold tight to this truth from Zechariah 9:9 (KJV): “Behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass.” Friends, even when things don’t look perfect, Jesus is always showing up with peace, power, and purpose. Let’s worship Him with joy today, just like they did back then!
