Where Your Heart Is… Matthew 6:21
Generosity is like a mirror reflecting what truly matters to us. You know how they say, “where your money goes, your heart follows”? Well, it’s not about cash—it’s about what we value. When we’re generous, it’s like we’re saying, “I care, and want to make your life a bit better.” It’s not just about giving stuff away; it’s about investing in people, in ministries, in making the world a little better. The verse in Matthew is like a gentle nudge, reminding us that our hearts are drawn to what we treasure most and whether we trust HIM with our time, talent, treasure, and testimony.
Generosity isn’t just about being nice; it’s about becoming people who trust the Lord. When we open our hands and hearts in generosity, we’re not just giving stuff—we’re sharing hope, kindness, and joy. And you know what? It changes us too. Every time we choose generosity, we’re shaping ourselves into more compassionate, empathetic people. Matthew 6:21 has a point—when we’re generous, we’re not just spreading blessing; we’re growing faith within ourselves too.
