Fellowship in the church is incredibly important, as the Bible teaches us. Hebrews 10:24-25 encourages believers to “consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” This passage stresses the need for regular gatherings of believers. It reminds us that meeting together isn’t just about attendance but about supporting each other in our faith and encouraging one another in our journey with Christ. The wording makes clear that our fellowship becomes even more vital for mutual edification and spiritual strength as we approach uncertain times.

Acts 2:42 also highlights the significance of fellowship in the early church, stating, “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” This verse shows how the early Christians devoted themselves to learning, praying, and fellowship. It underscores a deep sense of community where believers shared their lives, supported one another, and grew together in faith. Acts emphasizes their steadfast commitment to learning from the apostles and gathering as a community, illustrating how fellowship was crucial for their spiritual growth and unity. This kind of fellowship isn’t just a social gathering; it’s a vital part of living out our faith and strengthening our bond with God and each other.

Ephesians 6:4-5

And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
