How can I be a good American?

Christians should be patriotic because it aligns with their faith to love and support their country. The Bible encourages respect for authority and unity within communities. Romans 13:1 says, “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.” This verse teaches that God appoints leaders, and we should respect and follow them, which includes being loyal citizens.

Patriotism also reflects a desire for our nation’s well-being. Psalm 33:12 says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.” This verse shows that when a nation honors God and follows His ways, it can experience blessings and prosperity. Christians can contribute positively to their country by promoting justice, kindness, and moral values, helping to create a society that reflects God’s principles.

Being patriotic as a Christian means loving our country, respecting (and praying for) its leaders, and working towards a society that reflects God’s love and righteousness.

July Memory Verses – Revelation 12:10-11

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
