New Year’s Musings
As we stand at the threshold of a new year, it’s a time to reflect on the past and look forward with hope and faith. The Bible reminds us that God’s mercy is new every morning, and this truth is especially meaningful as we step into a fresh year.
Lamentations says, “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness” (3:22-23). This speaks to the faithfulness of God, who gives us another year filled with opportunities to grow, love, and serve. No matter the struggles we faced in the past, God’s grace is always available, offering us the strength to move forward with courage and determination.
In this new year, let’s remember that we are not alone in our journey. The Lord has promised to be with us always, guiding our steps and comforting us through every season. Jesus assures us in Matthew 28:20, “Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.” With His presence, we can face whatever challenges come our way, knowing He walks beside us. We are also reminded in Philippians 3:13-14 that we are to “forget those things which are behind, and reach forth unto those things which are before, pressing toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
As we enter 2025, let’s focus on the promises ahead, determined to live each day in faith, pressing on toward the higher purpose God has set before us.
Many thanks to everyone who attended!

December Memory Verses
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Matthew 1:22-23
